Two detached houses on one private site overlooking Lough Derg, available together on exclusive use for twelve nights around the 2027 Ryder Cup. Eight bedrooms, one location, one booking.
Both houses sit on one private site in the hills above Lough Derg, five minutes above Garrykennedy harbour.
One way the twelve nights could work — you'd build your own. The site is also available for the standard eight nights, 12–20 September.
The main house, six bedrooms, and The Stables, two bedrooms — a few paces apart on one private site.
Vaulted kitchen and dining room seating the full group, and a large sitting room with a wood-burning stove and views across open countryside to Lough Derg.
A separate self-contained house with open-plan living, a feature fire and windows on three aspects. Photographs and a 360° tour on our main page.
Arrival from 13:00 on Friday 10 September; departure by 12:00 on Wednesday 22 September. Shorter or longer stays within these dates considered.
Five minutes down the hill, Garrykennedy is a small harbour on Lough Derg with moored cruisers, a ruined castle and two pubs with a national reputation for food and traditional music. Larkins was voted number one in The Times Best Pubs in Ireland 2026. Killaloe and Ballina, twenty minutes on, add a further half-dozen restaurants. Tables can be held for a group in advance at Larkins and at Goosers in Ballina, booked and paid directly.
Nenagh's original nine was laid out by Alister MacKenzie, who designed Augusta National. Match-day journeys to Adare will run longer with road closures and park-and-ride in operation.
Day trips out and back — nobody repacks a bag for twelve nights.
Yes — it may be the best use of the site. The two houses are separate and self-contained, so each family has its own space and bedrooms, with the main house kitchen and sitting room for everyone together in the evening. Eight bedrooms sleep up to seventeen.
Fifty-five minutes by road, on the quiet side of Limerick. Match-day journeys will take longer with road closures and park-and-ride in operation, so allow extra time.
Not for these dates — the site is let as a whole. The Stables is available on its own at other times of year.
A great deal, and that's part of the point of a twelve-night stay. Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is forty minutes, the Rock of Cashel, Birr Castle and its gardens under the hour, and Galway city an hour and a half. Closer to home there's Lough Derg itself — boat trips from Ballina/Killaloe, Holy Island off Mountshannon, and walking and kayaking on the Lough Derg Blueway.
[Table tennis, a basketball hoop, and open lawns for running about — plus the harbour and lake five minutes away.]
The main house has five double rooms and one twin; The Stables has one double and one double-plus-single. A golf group taking single occupancy of every room would sleep ten; a mixed group of couples and families sleeps up to seventeen.
Yes — parking for several vehicles with turning space for a minibus or coach transfer.
Shannon, forty-five minutes. Dublin is roughly two hours by road.
Yes. This is a rural site. Most groups take a minibus or two hire cars.
